Signalling Mediums Used

Whatever signalling medium is used in a COMMANDER™ product it is for specific application conditions or environmental suitability. For example Infra-Red is an ideal, inherently safe for operational reasons and an undetectable medium by an enemy in war zones so when used in such military applications like remote control of robotics in bomb disposal, un-manned control of military vehicles, firefighting equipment or other machinery it cannot be interfered with or triggered by a rogue ‘enemy’ source as can be the case if using ‘detectable’ Radio as the control/communication medium.

Similar is applicable to Microwave devices also these are usually prohibited from use on civil airports, docks and a number of military installations.

In all cases security of the transmission is paramount, in effect with complex encoding and decoding routines, detected Radio or Microwave frequencies could be inhibited but not imitated.
