Infra-Red
Crane systems use a network of standard 140° Infra-Red receiving sensors strategically located beneath the crane structure to maximise operational range requirements. Hoist applications feature a single 180° fish eye sensor.
COMMANDER Infra-Red signal receiving sensors incorporate BNC co-axial connection ports to enable simple interconnection between each sensor in the network and the receiver decoder during installation. Incorporated in the design is an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) feature which locks on to the strongest Infra-Red signal being received from the operators transmitter. The entire sensor system gain can also be manually set in the receiver decoder to suit the required operational footprint. Standard sensors are supplied with an incorporated swivel mounting bracket. Fish eye sensors are supplied with a fixed angle mounting bracket and antenna.
PLL Radio Synthesiser
COMMANDER crane remote control systems feature microprocessor controlled PLL radio synthesiser technology enables fast, transmit and receive signalling. Radio channels can be easily selected during installation to suit existing site conditions and previously allocated system channels, irrespective of manufacture. Radio receive modules are supplied as a stand-alone module. This method permits installation in a convenient and suitable location and at a considerable distance from the receiver decoder without fear of signal loss or shadowing/masking. Radio modules are supplied with an incorporated mounting bracket and antenna.
PLL radio synthesiser systems have software controlled frequency settings. This enables the same transmit and receive modules to be used anywhere in the world. Combined PLL Radio Synthesiser with in built Infra-Red IRSUL CloseStart sensor.
433 Radio
Hoist and general remote control applications utilise the COMMANDER Microprocessor controlled 433MHz FM radio receiving module which is incorporated in the receiver decoder unit. The radio transmit/receive system used is time multiplexed (TMS). This feature enables factory set address codes to be set in the transmitter software during programming. |
