Morsonic Collision Avoidance System with (indoor) Installer Settable Operating Zones
COMMANDER Morsonic collision avoidance equipment is designed for stand alone operation or can be set up to communicate with other Morsonic systems in a simplex mode or as half duplex individual or as master slave pairs. Supplied as an easy to install single unit, the purpose designed and constructed sheet steel enclosure to IP55 Minimum, houses a single high quality programmable microprocessor controlled printed circuit board with on board power supplies and interface relays. The microprocessor encodes and decodes the systems Morse type coded signalling data which is transmitted and received by a single high quality ultrasonic transducer mounted in the enclosure access door. The single transducer transmits the coded Morsonic data and receives Morsonic data generated from another partner unit or reflected from the subject target. Three standard operating modes are available:-
i) mode 1 is the reflective mode for a single unit and operates up to 10 metres.
ii) mode 2 is a half duplex system (requiring two units) with hand shake between partner systems thus providing a fail safe condition where the maximum range does not exceed 30 metres.
iii) mode 3 is also a half duplex system (requiring two units) which handshakes within the active maximum range of 30 metres. Distances in excess of 30 metres are free ranging and do not hand shake between partners systems and therefore is not a fail safe mode.
Please note that operating distances can be affected by target shapes and inaccurate alignment.

Electrical supply and interface connections are easily made via the in built plug and socket terminal rail with access through a provisioned access port which will accept a standard 20mm compression cable gland.

The Morsonic system incorporates 3 zone relays as standard which can be programmed during installation for the required detection distances and interfaced to warning devices, directional and speed control circuits as required.

Each zone can be set by means of the Morsonic Installer Friendly Plug and Set Programmer, when removed the input data instructions are stored in memory, thus preventing any tampering by unauthorised persons after installation set up.

A BatBak (battery back up) system is available to enable continuous data communications between partner Morsonic units during periods of crane downtime. A pre drilled adjustable foot mounting bracket for the Morsonic unit and BatBak battery back up unit is also available.
